Roger Neilson House is named after the NHL coach Roger Neilson, a tireless advocate for all children and recipient of the Order of Canada. Roger Neilson House is the realized dream of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, the Ottawa Senators Foundation and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
Roger Neilson House is committed to excellence in serving everyone, including people with disabilities, according to the principles of independence, dignity, integration and equal opportunity.
Roger Neilson House is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MHLTC), Ministry of Children and Youth Services ( MCYS) and the Ottawa Senators Foundation.
Additional support provided by CHEO and CHEO Foundation is instrumental in the sustainability of Roger Neilson House.
At the end of each fiscal year, the Executive Director submits an annual report to the Board of Directors outlining accomplishments and statistics for the year and identifying priorities for the coming year.
