Welcoming Self-compassion – 12:15-1:00pm
Join us for a conversation about self-compassion. Learn about what self-compassion can offer you, the research behind it, share your experiences (to your comfort level) and learn new ways to embrace self-compassion.
A Grounding Yoga Practice – 1:15-2:15pm
This accessible yoga practice will guide you through a breath based flow yoga class with the intention of “grounding”. Together we will explore using breath and movement to create an inner sense of stability in the body and mind.
The Body Scan Meditation – 2:30-3:30pm
This type of guided meditation allows the body to rest and restore while the mind is asked to give attention to each body part while letting go of tension and discomfort. 45-60 minutes of this type of meditation can be as restful as a full night of sleep. The session is intended to help individuals relax deeply and potentially fall asleep. It is important that participants dress comfortably, warm and that they have a yoga mat and a blanket. Pillows are also a welcome feature.
